PLUGinWROCLAW: Blockchain - Beyond Cryptocurrencies
Everyone knows Bitcoin - it's that thing that can buy you guns or illegal drugs ;)
Some of you already know that Blockchain - the technology that made Bitcoin possible - is so much more. Blockchain has been called "the trust protocol," an algorithm that can replace whoever you used to trust with security of your transactions. If Blockchain adoption keeps growing, soon it might replace voting committees, banks, lawyers, government officials, insurers and everything that used to need a central authority. Or… it might turn into something completely else, depending on who dominates the race.
We invited speakers who are part of the Blockchain revolution to tell us which industries Blockchain is disrupting and which ones will outsmart the disruption to stay in the game. What are the companies to watch? How will Blockchain change the way we interact? What's the difference between Bitcoin, Dogecoin and cryptocurrencies ran by banks and governments?
