Wro.cpp #32
Hi,
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 30th. It will be held online, so we invite you to watch it on our YouTube channel.
As usual, we will start the meeting at 6:00 PM. After about 15 minutes of introduction, the presentations will begin.
We will present the upcoming presentations and speakers topics to you.
1. Tomasz Mikołajczyk - "GStreamer Multimedia Framework"
In this presentation, I will explain what GStreamer is and how we can use it, discussing its advantages and disadvantages. Additionally, I will demonstrate how modern and simple C++ can make working with this tool easier. However, the presentation will focus more on GStreamer itself and its capabilities rather than topics exclusively related to C++. No prior knowledge of video processing is required.
BIO: I have been developing software for over 20 years, currently collaborating mainly with startups. For the past 5 years, I have been working in areas related to computer vision, artificial intelligence, video processing, and teledriving (remotely controlled cars). Previously, I worked with embedded devices, microcontrollers, networking, high availability, audio processing, finance, and the automotive industry. I am proficient in C++, which I enjoy very much. Additionally, in daily work, I use Python, Objective-C, C, Go, javascript (but do not tell that to anyone), and a bit of Rust. My second passion is teaching math and programming to a group of homeschooled children. In my free time, I play guitar in the band KREM.
