I work in platform team to design and implement tools, libraries and architectural solutions for our product teams.
Besides that I am passionate about astrophysics and everything one can program like micro-controllers, toys, robots and other stuff.
Handling large datasets with Memory Mapped Files
Handling large datasets is always complex; starting from structuring the data itself,
caching or fitting them into memory, accessing the data efficiently and finally releasing memory without affecting application performance.
In my presentation I will show one of the mechanisms that simplifies accessing such structures - Memory Mapped Files.
I will present fundamentals of this technology, performance benefits as well as application of Memory Mapped Files for real-world scenario.
The example will cover implementation of high performance, low GC pressure solution for accessing geo-location database.
Kateryna Stepchenkova has over seven years of experience in IT and has worked as a Technical Writer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Technical Product Owner at a product company. She believes that good communication is key to success and makes the workplace better.
Maksym Zhokha - Senior Software Engineer with more than 10 years of experience with a background in the banking industry, high-load distributed services, and authorization platforms.
Skilled in developing complex business workflows and implementing inter-service communications via REST APIs and asynchronous messaging.
Acquiring Kubernetes Application Developer Certification. How to and is it worth it?
I'll present general certification info, exam format, environment and scoring, exam covered topics and domains and how to prepare to exam.
