WISH TO ATTEND: https://events.epam.com/events/front-1
WHEN: June 19, 18.00
WHERE: Proza, przejście Garncarskie, Wrocław, Poland
Why?
As EPAM we want to share the knowledge and engage more with Frontend developers, give back, learn, and through that grow.
What to expect?
In the first edition we have two speakers that will serve you up with both heavy and lightweight topics.
For a warmup run Dawid will talk a bit about JSS and how we got here, then more techy subject of audio processing in JavaScript.
With that done we invite everyone to enjoy networking with some snacks and beverages.
“CSS-in-JS: why, why not?” – Dawid Sokol
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should. Let’s discuss benefits and personal experiences of css-in-js integration. How or why we ended up here and what we can learn from it.
“The Man Who Sold the Amp or How to Process Music with JS” – Vitalii Bobrov
Take your old scratched Les Paul or Stratocaster from the case and fill all the space around with warm riffs. I’m going to show how to transform the code into Kirk Hammett’s wah-wah, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s overdrive and Kurt Cobain’s distortion. You’ll learn how to parse audio input in real-time using JavaScript and the Web Audio API.
