Finance, both as a function and industry is incredibly fit for digitization - finance is about information after all. As finances are numerical for the most part, the combination of the above characteristics made it exceptionally attractive to data science practitioners. Data science / machine learning / artificial intelligence has found many applications in finance - be it customer profiling, risk assessment, revenue generation and asset management. During our next FTP meetup, we will attempt to bring a general overview of AI in finance.
