***Agenda***

18:00 - grab a drink and take a seat

18:10 - 18:40

Speaker: Katarzyna Klimek, founder of Klub Aktywnych

Topic: How to swim in the blue ocean?

Abstract:

The blue ocean means undiscovered areas and new opportunities that have not been noticed by market players. It's a huge potential waiting to be unleashed. What does this mean for business? Why do startups most often swim in the blue ocean? How to take advantage of these opportunities?

18:40 - 19:10

Speaker: Wiktor Żołnowski, founder of Health Folder

Topic: From personal health crisis to innovation: Bumpy Road of Health Folder - a digital health startup that aims to stop people from dying for stupid reasons!

Abstract:

I will share the compelling journey behind Health Folder, a venture born from my personal experience with a health crisis that highlighted the inefficiencies in medical documentation management and other healthcare problems that are worth addressing.

As we delve into the narrative of turning adversity into innovation, you'll glean insights into the pivotal decisions and invaluable lessons learned during this startup's development.

I will tell you the story of:

  • How Health Folder was born from personal health challenges, transforming the burden of physical medical records into a streamlined digital solution with a big product vision.
  • The lessons learned from bootstrapping a startup using my own funds and a team from my other company specialised in startup development.
  • Why should a founder not take on the role of Product Owner, and how can a lack of this separation disturb product development?
  • What is the critical role of a Scrum Master in our team, and how has the external perspective of the Agile Coach contributed to our success?
  • Why is it difficult to follow the process when you are “at war” even if you are an expert in that process?
  • Approaches to user engagement and feedback, emphasising what not to ask users about pricing and preferences and why UX shouldn't handle feedback in isolation.
  • Navigating the challenges of securing funding from investors and strategies that can increase your chances of success.
  • And I would love to answer all of your questions that you may have about startups or product development!

19:10 - 19:40

Speaker: Jakub Karkocha, CEO of LightApply

Topic: Four Years In: Why Our Startup is Smaller Than Expected?

Abstract:

In this talk, I will share the journey of our startup. I will explain how we came up with the idea for our product and how it evolved after 18 months of unsuccessful sales. I will discuss our collaboration with private investors, highlighting the advantages and challenges of a partner-based approach. Finally, I will provide insights into our current status, the path we took to get here, and the major mistakes we could have avoided along the way.
