About: As we all know, making accurate product decisions requires accurate data about users and their actions. The difficult question is which data should be used to make a decision: qualitative or quantitative? Which source is better and more relevant? How can we build useful insights based on them? What can happen if we get it wrong?

During the talk, Iga, an untiring advocate of qualitative research, and Michał, an avid supporter of quantitative methods, will answer these questions and more. In this debate, there will be only one winner - a product.

About: Nearly every product conversation leads to a question...“When do we know we are making the right decision”?Times have changed, and from “not knowing” (meaning: not having enough data) we went down a bumpy road to “kind of knowing” (meaning: having too much data) and being jeopardised with wrong decisions resulting in building unnecessary features, or even products. It’s so easy to trust ourselves or our users’ opinion and just jump into a solution. We have all been there, haven’t we?


But let’s be honest... Taking shortcuts and not investing in gathering and understanding (!) data, will come back to bite us sooner or later.

Hi Product Folks!

Are you relaxed and refreshed after vacations? We hope so, because we are coming back with Product Peak meet-ups and with great pleasure, we would like to invite you to the upcoming one. This time we will focus on a data-driven approach to the product. How to combine qualitative and quantitative data? How to make a product that people actually need and not the one you want? These are some questions we will try to answer with you on October 5th.


We will run a series of two 30-minutes presentations. Starting at 18:00 at our Ocado Technology office, located in the Wrocław Old Town (Szewska 8 St.). We have a great event space with a stage on our 4th floor!


We know how hard it is to challenge our assumptions, and verify if what you want to build is what your users need. We know it’s worth it, and are willing to share our story of building Sherlock: Ocado Technology’s data discovery tool with you ;)
